The Bennett Project stands with St. Louis families facing pediatric cancer, offering direct financial assistance and social support. We recognize that only those who have walked this journey can truly understand its unique challenges. That’s why we prioritize connecting and uniting our families. We support our families at every stage of the pediatric journey, from newly diagnosed and in treatment to post-treatment and bereaved families.
Bennett Reinier, who passed from colon cancer and an inoperable brain tumor at the age of 10 in 2003.
TBP programs include our birthday club, quarterly family social events, family photo sessions, extracurricular activity grants, and a little wishes program. Our standout initiative is the annual holiday shop, where families select gifts for their children at no cost while the kids enjoy games, crafts, and a visit from Santa. This program is powered by a large toy and gift card drive, generous donors, and over 200 volunteers.
Proudly volunteer-run, we direct over 96% of donations into family support and programming.

I have been married 13 years and have two kids who love being involved in everything we do. I love that they get to see first hand the impact of helping others.
Ben is looking down proud that his legacy is still supporting others.

I am a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and currently work in Finance at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. My inspiration for joining The Bennett Project board is my nephew, Drew, who was diagnosed in September of 2019 at 6 ½ years old with a malignant brain tumor. As our family’s lives turned upside down, I looked for a way help others experiencing the same unimaginable situation. (Drew’s a fighter and currently has No Evidence of Disease.)

I am the youngest child of 4, and one of my favorite childhood memories was visiting Disney. It was there I found my love for hotels and travel. In high school I started working at a hotel, knowing this was my career path. After 13 years of working at a hotel in Clayton, I went to work for IHG Corporate where my current role is a Commercial Strategist in Hotel Revenue Management.
I am a proud mother of 3 kids, and I have been married for 11 years. After our own family struggles with juvenile autoimmune disease and a very scary automobile accident, I would do anything to help a family in need! I was brought to TBP during COVID while my boys were looking for service hours. We began working on the Toy Drive in 2020. My involvement and commitment to help TBP families grew with each opportunity I had to see the impact we can make to all of these families!

I was born and raised in St. Louis. Giving back to the community is something that was instilled in me by my parents at a young age. I left the area to attend Florida State University where I received my bachelor’s degree. Upon graduation, I moved back to St. Louis where I began teaching. After 5 years of teaching, I made the decision to go back to school and earned a master’s degree in human resources development and management from Webster University. I am currently director, human resources at CSI Leasing, Inc. where I am responsible for leading CSI’s global human resources strategy, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, training and development, and compensation and benefits. In addition to serving on the board of directors for The Bennett Project I am on the board human resources committee for Family Forward. I am a huge football fan. On Saturdays, I’ll be watching my alma mater, Florida State Seminoles and on Sundays I’ll be in Kansas City for every Chiefs home game. I’m the proud mother of two grown children, Mauri Lynn & Jared Thomas who also give back and have a love for football.
